Winter is upon us and the snow is falling - lots of it.  We are adopting a "Powder Day" Policy here at Missoula Bicycle Works.  We had a bit of a debate as to where to set the threshold.  We settled on 18 centimeters (right in-between 15 and 20 and we are a bike shop afterall) or just over 7 inches.  So if the report at "the Bowl" shows 7+ inches of new snow over night we will shut down and be skiing that day.  The exceptions to this will be the days that we have repairs scheduled or special orders we are waiting to receive or if someone is expecting to pick up a repair or special order. Personally I hope we have more powder days this year than we can count but likely we have set a reasonable snow threshold.  Let it snow!
