Missoula PRO XC Tour

Press Release Missoula, Montana to host USA Cycling's Pro XCT Finals at Marshall Mountain in 2011. Missoula has been awarded the bid to hold the final race, The Missoula XC, in USA Cycling's Pro Mountain Bike Cross Country Tour (Pro XCT) in 2011. The dates for the largest cross country mountain bike race ever to be held in Montana are July 23rd and 24th, 2011 at Marshall Mountain, just outside of Missoula, Montana. Missoula, MT October1, 2010: Shaun Radley and Ben Horan of Missoula Bike LLC are proud to announce that Missoula Bike LLC has secured the bid to hold the final race, The Missoula XC, in USA Cycling's Pro XCT for 2011. Points earned during The Pro XCT determine an overall National Points Champion and determine which mountain bikers will represent the United States at the Mountain Bike World Championships. Radley and Horan are working closely with, Bruce Doering the owner of Marshall Mountain, to create a world class race experience for both amateurs and pros the weekend of July 23rd and 24th 2011. Horan is in charge of the course layout and design at Marshall Mountain which will be a 6 kilometer loop that is being designed and constructed specifically for this event, and will reflect the contemporary World Cup course template. Steep, technical climbs and descents will alternate between single track, double track, and infrequent dirt road sections. Radley will be running the promotional side of the race weekend consisting of registration, awards and logistics necessary to run a national caliber event.
