Prom Night
Monday January 25, 2010Did you go to your Prom? Prom night in high school was supposed to be the highlight of the whole teenage experience. Tuxedos, the Prom dress, go out to dinner driven in a limosine. It turns out that due to poor timing and a boyfriend that was opposed to the notion of Prom our friend Fanesa never went to her Prom. Well you know there is always time to go to Prom. So Chad, Fanesa's main squeeze, decided that for her birthday he would host a Prom for her.
Chad and Reed told me they were going to go all out and make this a night to remember and that it should not be missed. I pulled out a nice suit that I had made for me one night in Bangkok, my wife wore a stunningly beautiful dress and off we went to see just what Reed and Chad had in store for us. As we walked up to the house Sarah asked me if I thought other people wold be dressed up as well. As we turned the corner onto Reed's walkway I was pretty sure I knew the answer to that question when I saw that the red carpet layed out in front of us.

The moment we walked in the door we were transported all the way back to high school. Reed and Chad completely transformed the house. Balloons covered the ceiling, purple lights and a fog machine created the perfect atmosphere. Then of course there was DJ RS or DJ Rise as we may have to call him laying out a very eclectic mix of music.
Yes everyone was dressed up. Tuxedos, prom dresses that I am sure were worn to someones prom in the eighties. I think someone even spiked the punch.

Unfortunately, just like in high school I had a curfew so Sarah and I had to leave before the Prom King and Queen were announced. Once I hear who won I will add a short post. I think Prom night was a success. Hopefully there will be another one next year because one just isn't enough I guess.
