The Unit X has become a cult favorite among die-hard Kona fans. Maybe it’s the Cromoly frame. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s a bikepacking monster, or its well-geared 12-speed drivetrain, or modular dropouts which give you the ability to run it as a single speed if that’s your thing. Maybe it’s because the rigid fork makes it that much more of a classic. We may never know why the Unit X is such a popular bike, but we can only guess it’s because it is one of the most practical machines in our lineup.

It is responsive, nimble and is as playful as I can manage with my recreational MTB skills. The HeiHei is an XC bike with a penchant for aggressive trails. It has definitely been ridden but it has also been very well cared for. It is a size XL. The dropper is 200mm. I am about 186cm (~6'1") All the pivot bearings were recently replaced, The rear shock had an air can service and the fork lowers were very recently serviced. I would say this bike is in excellent condition. The chain, cassette and chainring were replaced in September so they are relatively new. There are minor scuffs on the chainstays from a bit of heel rub. I tried to capture them in the photos. The scuffs are very minor and I would characterize the photos as pretty accurate. The tires were recently replaced as well. Hopefully the photo shows the condition they are in. The profile photo of the bike I promise is not photoshopped. This bike is really beautiful.
